Extra-Heavy-Duty Casters · Port & Machinery

Built for the Loads That Break Ordinary Casters

at extra-heavy loads the failures are always the same three: the swivel binds, the fork spreads, and the wheel flat-spots where the cart sits. this series is built around those three — a heavy steel fork, a double-row ball-bearing swivel, and a PU or nylon wheel rated 150 mm · 1000 kg per caster.

JRT extra-heavy-duty caster wheel

An extra-heavy load punishes the parts a light caster gets away with. the swivel raceway takes the whole weight every time the cart turns, so a thin single-row bearing binds and the cart fights the operator. the fork carries the load in bending, so a light pressed plate spreads and the wheel cants. and the wheel sits under tonnes of static load between moves, so a soft tread takes a flat spot that you feel on every roll afterward.

This series answers each point directly. a heavy welded steel fork resists spreading, a double-row ball-bearing swivel head keeps the cart turning under load, and the wheel is built for the duty: PU bonded to a cast-iron core for quiet, floor-kind running, or reinforced nylon for the lowest rolling effort and better heat and chemical tolerance. the shown models run 150 mm at 1000 kg per caster.

Builds cover the job: plain swivel, swivel with a brake and a directional lock, and fixed. larger diameters (200, 250, 300 mm) carry more and are rated per model on your quote, and custom top plates and bolt patterns are matched to your chassis. the range meets ANSI/ICWM and ISO 22883 requirements.

Where the load goes

Fork

Heavy welded steel

A heavy steel plate fork resists spreading under load, so the wheel stays square and rolls true.

Swivel

Double-row ball bearing

A double-row ball-bearing swivel head carries the load and keeps the cart turning instead of binding.

Wheel

PU or nylon for the duty

PU on a cast-iron core for quiet, floor-kind running, or reinforced nylon for low effort and heat tolerance.

Custom builds & your own brand

Match the caster to your chassis, and sell it under your label — sized for distributors, not mass-OEM tonnage.

Match the chassis

Plates & bolt patterns

non-standard top-plate sizes and bolt patterns matched to your equipment. send the drawing and we confirm on a 24–48h drawing.

Larger sizes

200 / 250 / 300 mm

bigger diameters for higher capacity, rated per model. new tooling, where needed, runs around 12 days.

Brand & pack

Your mark, neutral cartons

laser-etch or pad-print your logo, or ship unbranded in neutral cartons at distributor scale.

Machinery

Moving heavy machines

Machine bases, dies and moulds, and heavy fabrications moved on dollies and transfer carts.

Yard & port

Heavy transport dollies

Heavy transport dollies and frames in steel works, yards, and ports where loads are measured in tonnes.

Automation

AGV / AMR chassis

Distributor supply terms
TermHow it works
Mixed-load containerConsolidate extra-heavy, heavy-duty, and other caster types into one container.
Per-model minimumHeld at distributor scale with no mass-OEM constraint, so you carry depth across treads and builds.
Lead timeStandard 150mm/1000kg models from stock; custom sizes or plates follow 24–48h drawing, with mould work around 12 days where needed.
Container loadingwe plan cartons per container to fill weight and cube efficiently — extra-heavy casters are dense, so weight usually fills before cube.

Extra-heavy-duty & procurement FAQ

What load do these extra-heavy-duty casters carry?
The 150mm PU and nylon models shown are rated at 1000kg per caster. larger wheel diameters carry more; we confirm the rating for each model on your quote so it matches your equipment and how the load sits across the casters.
PU on cast iron or reinforced nylon — which should I choose?
PU on a cast-iron core runs quieter and is kinder to the floor; reinforced nylon is harder, rolls with less effort, and stands up better to heat and chemicals. the choice comes down to the floor, the environment, and how much push effort you can accept.
Are brake and directional-lock versions available?
Yes. a swivel build with a brake and a directional lock is available alongside plain swivel and fixed builds, so a heavy cart can be held still and tracked straight when needed.
Can you make custom top-plate sizes and hole patterns?
Yes. we match non-standard plate sizes and bolt patterns to your chassis. send the drawing and we confirm the build on a 24–48h drawing, with mould work around 12 days where a new tool is needed.
Do the PU wheels flat-spot under long static loads?
High-durometer PU resists flat-spotting under prolonged static load, and reinforced nylon does not flat-spot; for carts that sit loaded for long periods, the wheel material is chosen with that in mind.
Can you supply these under our brand in mixed-load orders?
Yes. we laser-etch or pad-print your logo or ship unbranded with neutral cartons, and consolidate extra-heavy casters with other types into one mixed-load container at distributor scale. FOB and CIF supported.
